In developing this garment, I sought to explore and challenge notions of wearability and garment interaction. While the design was rooted in the sustainable transformation of a second hand garment, I sought to propel the notion of sustainability by creating a garment that could spark a shift in consumer attitudes towards the real value of clothing beyond the price tag.

The notion of confusion fuelled my design practice leading me to design a garment that was both polished and undone. The installation experiment used to photograph the garment allowed the wearers to interact with the garment and one another to uncover unexpected outcomes and disrupt traditional garment conventions.
